Frankly speaking didn't expect much ...thought was a glorified homestay ...but the stay @ the retreat was Icing on the cake for our short vacation to the hills - rooms were modern with huge windows and had the valley view at the back with the at the Kanchenzonga ranges visible early in the morning & the Lamhatta park view from our side window. Their cafe in the ground floor served us amazing food ( better than some of the luxury hotels ) . Manager Asis ever ready to help and promptly replies on WA . Staff boy Dear was a sweet ever smiling chap...I would like to convey my good wishes to the Chef for his wonderful preparations !!Also a big shout out for the Design consultant too ...good job !Will visit again for sure ...
Amazing location with exquisite food. Staff is always ready to provide assistance and make the stay memorable . Highly comfortable rooms with picturesque view.Would recommend Oak retreat to have a special experience in this serene locality.

In November 2022, I spent three nights at The Oak Retreat. What a wonderful hotel. I was welcomed with such compassion, and it persisted the entire time I was there. This hotel has wonderful personnel! All of them take extra steps to ensure that your stay is comfortable.♥️♥️
This small property has three rooms and a snall cafe. Firstly the rooms are very well maintained and have a great view of kanchenjunga. They have a small terrace also with great panaromic views. It is located right in front of lamahatta eco park. The location is the best part of the hotel, though it might get a bit crowded in the peak season times. Mr Asish Baman is there all the time and he will try his best to make your stay the best experience ever. He himself took us on a nice hiking trail in the village with breathtaking views. The food of this hotel is another thing to die for especially their desserts and bakery. Overall the connectivity, the food, the staff makes this hotel a really nice place to stay at lamahatta.
The food , the staffs , the environment, the decoration, the location everything was just perfect. I would love to go there again. I ate chicken sandwich and the fried rice chilli chicken bowl. Every item was so yummy. The dancing clouds , the pine forest view , every moment is special for me. Enjoyed my lunch with my wife. The weather was very nice that day. Love this place.

Excellent place to have continental meal. Besides the surroundings of Lamahatta, spend some time for great Pizza and Pasta and whole load of other food items.
