There are many interesting things to do while you stay with us in Lamahatta like a visit to the Pokhri (Lake) on top of the Eco-park, the walk to the top is through the beautiful and dense pine forests of the region.
Apart from that if interested you can also be taken for a village walk around the beautiful village of Lamahatta which ends in a stunning view point after a tiring walk down from our property.
Lamahatta is a small eco-tourism village about 22 km from Darjeeling, at around 5,700 feet, known for its pine forests, the Lamahatta Eco Park and its views of the Kanchenjunga range. From The Oak Retreat, directly opposite the Eco Park, most things to do start on foot:
Walk up through dense pine forest to the Pokhri (lake) at the top of the Lamahatta Eco Park, take a village walk around Lamahatta that ends at a viewpoint, and enjoy the Kanchenjunga views. Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Tinchuley and Takdah can be visited as day trips.
